This is a handsome Arts and Crafts sterling silver pendant with oval chrysocolla blue green stone cabochon centerpiece. The attached necklace chain is 30" around. There are no marks. The pendant tests positive for silver content of sterling grade. The chain tests slightly lower, so I estimate 800 grade silver for the chain. The pendant is composed of 2 linked squares with an open pattern of arched bars. These squares have an open center that frames the set stone which hangs from the upper square's interior. The lower square has 5 elongated triangular dangles hanging beneath it.
This necklace has a total weight of 28.1 gr. The necklace chain is 30" around. The pendant measures 3.75" long by 1.25" across. The center stone is .5" x .375".
Condition is good. I am puzzled that the silver content of the chain is lower than the that of the pendant, as the chain seems to be such a good match to the pendant. It is possible that the chain is a marriage or perhaps they simply used a lower grade of silver for the chain for added strength.
If you favor the hand crafted quality of the Arts and Crafts era pieces and their unique styling, this superb necklace would suit you well.
