This is a lovely Victorian period paste hollow brooch with a thin layer of 14K yellow gold top and back. It features a faceted oval center stone surrounded by 14 round stones. The back has an old fashioned T hinged pin stem and replacement roll over safety clasp.
Condition: There are some areas of wear to the layer of gold, most notably on a couple of edge points and near the edge in one spot on the back. There is also some wear to the facets of the stones and I suspect 2 of the round stones may be replacements. The clasp is replaced.
The brooch weighs 9.7 gr. It measures 1.75" x 1.625".
Though it has some small flaws, this brooch still makes a fine presentation.
