This is an uncommon 15" tall German china head doll by Conta & Boehme, with pierced ears. She has lobed bangs, a deep and wide center part with white comb and elaborate coiffure in back. She has a good antique commercially made body with china lower arms. Her antique clothing consists of a corset and pantalettes topped by an excellent cotton red and black print dress and red cape. Her red leather boots and stockings are sewn on
Condition: The head has some wear to the hair color. The doll's left pierced ear lobe is very thin at the piercing with a possible surface chip there. Leather boots are very worn and some is missing from left boot.
This little lady reminds me of little Red Riding Hood in her red cape.
