This is a pretty 18 inch circa 1940s vintage Effanbee composition Little Lady or Anne Shirley doll. Her mohair wig in pigtails is original. Her eyes are clear. The composition has mild crazing and only couple of cracks. She came with the clothing you see here, but I am not sure if any is original to her. The aqua and pink dress printed with baby animals has white rick rack trim and appears to be home made. She also has matching slip and underpants, white stockings, black shoes and a colorful straw hat. The hat is darling but isn't the best match to her dress. I speculate that her original dress may have matched the hat. Stringing is good. Marked Effanbee both on back of body and back of head up under the hair.
Condition: Mild crazing. A couple of cracks in the composition: next to her left eye, side of leg. Dress has a stain on the front of the skirt.
This little lady has survived relatively well for being about 75 years old now.
