This is a Victorian period locket pendant enhances by black and white banded agate stone around the perimeter and a thick dome of crystal covering a photograph of a highly decorated soldier of the period. The bail is set with a garnet colored paste stone. The photograph can be accessed from the back, and note the scrap of backing paper dated 1899. Locket is gilded brass metal.
Condition: I believe the back of the locket originally also had a glass cover that is now missing.
This pendant measures 2.125" tall (including bail) by 1.625" across.
