This is a handsome early Victorian or late Georgian period bracelet made from woven cord and gold gilded beads centered around a large agate stone clasp. The clasp is Pinchbeck or gilded brass metal and houses the very large mottled brown agate atone in a simple sturdy bezel. The clasp works well. There are no markings other than a hand inscribed MV on the clasp.
The bracelet has a wearable length of 7". The band is 1.125" wide. The clasp measures 1.5" x 1.5".
Condition is good. The woven cord band is completely intact and sturdy. No beads are missing. The clasp works well and holds securely. The stone is undamaged.
This is an excellent early bracelet still deserving of more wearing.
