This is a lovely antique Japanese Satsuma porcelain shield shaped brooch depicting wisteria within a dark blue border. The setting appears to be brass and has a small illegible marking. It has old fashioned T hinged pin stem and C clasp, which I feel were added, as this piece may have been repurposed from a previous use, given that there is a small mark in the center back.
Condition: there is a corner chip on front upper left.
This brooch measures 1.625" x 1.25".
