nativity scene. She is well modeled, from the feathers in her long blonde curls to her full pink wings to the folds of her pale blue gown. Her face is nicely painted, giving her a serene expression. The sleeves of her gown are trimmed in gilt and raised golden balls decorated her robes. She is 5.75 inches high and is incised on the back of her base with what appears to be "062" and a smaller mark I cannot make out. Inside she is stamped "Germany" in small black letters; someone has written over that in pencil "From Marion." There are no breaks or repairs. The bisque is a trifle rough and the coloring a little slap-dash, but that adds to her primitive charm and attests to her age. On the gown above her left knee on small gold ball is missing and there is a small chip on the left side of the base near the front corner, but it is in the white bisque and hard to see when she is displayed.
