An elderly friend has asked me to help her out by selling some of her jewelry that she has packed away for many years. I am not a jeweler and am describing these items to the best of my limited abilities. Please contact me if you have any questions, and I will answer as best I can. This is a beautiful three-dimensional vintage gold cross on a very fine chain. My friend does not think she ever wore this piece and believes that it is in the original box. The pendant consists of a plain raised cross set with tiny diamond in the center. This cross sits on a larger flat textured budded cross. The bale of the cross is stamped “14kt” and a maker’s name I cannot make out (it looks like “Ivan”). The cross is about 1.25 inches long. The delicate chain is 20 inches long and stamped “14kt” on the clasp. The cross and chain come in a gray velvet box labeled inside “14 KT.GOLD.” This simple and elegant vintage cross would make a lovely Easter present or graduation gift. The cross and chain are in wonderful shape, although the box is a bit battered from being stored in a closet for many years.
