This vintage porcelain pair of pretty sabots was made in Limoges, France. Although in reality such clogs would have been carved of wood and worn by peasants, this vintage pair is a deep rich wine color lavished with gilt trim and flowers, with a romantic scene of two 18th century lovers above each turned-up toe. Underneath is stamped "Limoges France" in gold. The shoes are each two inches long and tied together with a lavender bow. These charming china clogs would be an unusual addition to a French fashion's trousseau or as an ornament for a dollhouse. The shoes are in good condition, with no breaks or repairs.
