These miniature metal beds are by Tootsie Toy, an American company that produced die-cast metal dollhouse furniture in the 1920s and 1930s. Although this pair of beds shows wear from decades of play, they still retain their original metal bed covers, which were often lost over the years. These diminutive pieces have al the details of a full size bed from the period, including a raised decorative design on the headboard and footboard and rounded feet. The metal covers are even have pleated sides. One bed is pink with a pink cover and the other is light green with a blue cover. Each bed is marked "Tootsie Toy Made in U.S.A." on the slats. Each bed is about 3.25 inches long and 1.75 inches wide. There is scattered paint loss on the bedsteads, although the majority of the color is intact. There is some residue that looks like glue or adhesive from tape on the underside of the blue bedspread, and a little inside the bed frame, as if some child long ago tried to fasten the cover to its bed. I have not tried to clean these items. If you are furnishing a 1930s doll house or need furniture for little all-bisque dolls from this period , these beds are the perfect touch for a miniature boudoir.
