This dainty diver is one of the scarcer poses produced by the German company of Galluba and Hofmann, considered by collectors to be one of the finest makers of bathing bathing beauties and its lovely ladies are scarce and highly sought after. She is of excellent bisque and is beautifully modeled from her shapely arms and legs to her supple soft curves. Her pose fully displays her pretty figure. Her lovely face is decorated in typical Galluba style, with one stroke brows, sultry intaglio blue eyes outlined in black, large black pupils, red lid lines, and full softly smiling coral lips. On her dainty feet are molded pink ballet-style bathing slippers. A similar figurine is pictured on my book, "Bawdy Bisques and Naughty Novelties: German Bathing Beauties and Their Risque Kin" on page 101. She retains her original brunette mohair wig and the remains of her bathing suit of black lace and ribbon. She is approximately 6 inches long and is incised "406 F" on the back of the supporting pier. Her beautiful pale bisque gives her flawless complexion. Standing bathing belles are far scarcer than their lounging or sitting sisters. There are no breaks or repairs. There is one small flea bite on the left back bottom rim of the gray base, near the pier. Think how lovely she would look standing by a dollhouse pool or on your shelf.
