In 1963, Anne Beate began creating dolls in Odense, Denmark. These diminutive dolls are all created by hand. This little flower girl was purchased in Denmark many years ago and is still in her original box. Just 4 inches tall, this doll is as bright and fresh as the day she was created, perhaps because she stayed in her protective box all these years. Made of an armature wrapped in yellow and pink yarn, she wears a green felt skirt and a matching hat over her blonde string braids. Her fabric face has charming handprinted features. Thanks to her metal sabots, she can stand by herself. Tucked over one arm is a miniature woven basket filled with tiny dried flowers. Her original red and gold Anne Beate tag is still tied to her left ankle. Other than the box having slightly yellowed and some slight loss the her fragile dry flowers, this darling Dane is in excellent condition.
