This pretty peasant dollhouse lady is a petite 5.25 inches high. She has a bisque shoulder head and lower bisque arms and legs. Although she is sewn in to her nearly pristine factory folk outfit, she appears to have a cloth body. The sweet bisque face is nicely painted with blue-gray eyes and dark red lips and her light brown hair is molded into a chignon under her polka-dotted scarf. Her colorful outfit looks almost as bright as the day it left the factory, The cupped hands are nicely modeled and her lower legs have molded black single-strap shoes with heels and tan soles. Although there are no visible marks, she is of good German quality (she may be marked under her clothing but I do not want to disturb her original outfit). She would be wonderful as the mother in a fairy tale scene, as a peddler lady with a basket of tiny goods, or as the new maid in an Edwardian dollhouse, fresh from the "Old Country." Overall, she is in wonderful condition and looks as if she was never played with. There are no chips or breaks. There is a tiny darker spot on the bridge of her nose, but it is noticeable only upon the closest inspection.
