This adorable boy clad only in his molded shirt is an early all bisque doll. He is of superb flawless bisque with a smooth rosy complexion. This charming child's face is delicately painted and his modeling is detailed, from his blond curls to the folds in his shirt. His hands have free thumbs and he is so well balanced, he can stand on his own (even so, for safety's sake, I recommend using a doll stand!). Although only 3.5 inches high, he has a lot of personality and presence. He is incised with a faint number on the lower back of his shirt. This little cherub is from my own collection. This left hand was broken off at the wrist and reglued, but the break was so clean, the mend is invisible, even on the closest inspection. This beautiful boy would be the perfect inhabitant for a dollhouse bathroom or bedroom, or as a doll for some lucky larger antique doll to hold.
