This sleeping cocker spaniel is by the German company of Steiff. Of soft mohair, this puppy has embroidered features and a ribbon around its neck. This cute canine retains his original paper chest tag, a style used from 1950 through 1971, with the name "Floppy Cockie" and on the back of the tag announces that he is moth-proofed (mottenecht). The original silver Steiff button with raised letters is in the dog's right ear. Overall, this precious puppy is in wonderful condition for its age, with its mohair fur clean and unfaded and stitched features intact. The chest tag is a bit creased and the ribbon needs a little freshening, but it appears that this spaniel was never played with. He is approximately 13 inches from nose to tip of a back leg.
