Hutschenreuther Hohenberg Bavaria demitasse cup and saucer has maroon bands encircling the cup and border with gold encrusted decoration. There are hand painted pink roses, blue forget-me-not flowers and violets in diamond-shaped cartouches strategically placed on the saucer and cup. The pieces are marked on the bottom Hutschenreuther Hohenberg, Bavaria with C. M. and HR, 1814 and 1914. The letters C. and M. are the initials of the founder Carolus Magnus who established the Hutschenreuther factory in 1814. This mark was used in the 1901-1933 period. It is also hand marked C9903 116059. Both pieces are in excellent condition with no chips, cracks or crazing and no gold loss. This lovely set would be perfect displayed on a table. It would make wonderful gift and addition to a collection.
