Vintage Advertising English biscuit tin by Huntley and Palmers has wonderful graphics of a young woman standing between two men in 19th century period dress. The tin is entitled, Two Strings to Her Bow after the picture by artist John Pettie (1839-1893) in the Glasglow Art Gallery. The sides feature silhouettes of people and trees all around the tin in sepia tans and green. It measures 7 inches diameter and 3.50 inches high. Overall this lovely vintage tin is in great condition. The top has a shallow indentation and minor marks and oxidation on the bottom and inside. This is a great piece for storage, display, and to add to a collection.
