This lovely art deco figurine is by Karl Tutter. Its name is "Sunchild" Tutter worked for the German Company, Hutschenreuther. Karl Tutter was one of the most famous porcelain modelers of the 20th century. His porcelain works gained him fame nationally and internationally. To some extent the Hutschenreuther art figurines owe their good reputation to Karl Tutter (1883-1969).
The Sunchild's body is modeled with detailed anatomy. Her face as usual with Tutter; sculptured, quiet, and dreamy. The base has a beautiful gold trim. She is balancing herself on a gold ball. This is the smaller version, approximately 7.5 inches. No chips, flaws, or breaks. Truly a beautiful piece.
