This is the 1971, fifth edition of the Playboy's Host and Bar book. This is a wonderful, useful book for anyone who entertains. It contains information for stocking a bar (e.g. the types of glasses, liqueurs, alcohol, trimmings, plus food recipes for the discerning entertainer. Here is one of the reviews of this book from Amazon:
I have spent hours pouring over this book, learning the background of various liquors and discovering new categories of cocktails I would never have considered making before reading this book. It is hand's down the best cocktail book I've ever owned. Be forewarned, however. This book is responsible for my now very well-stocked bar; you simply cannot read it and not be inspired to run out to the liquor store and stock up so you too can be prepared to whip up a frappe, classic daiquiri, or true martini at a moment's notice.
This copy is in good plus to fine condition. Presents as minimally used. Dustjacket shows color from aging, but is unclipped, and shows the 12.95 price. Binding in good plus condition. A hint of musty smell, but not to a distractible degree. Pages are clean, surprisingly clean, as a matter of fact. Very nice collectible copy.
