This is a regional spiral cookbook, titled Winnie's Family Cookbook. There is no year quoted by looks like a vanity press issue, as it is titled Copyright by Winston L. Bridges. The author developed a knack for cooking after retiring and becoming a "house husband" at his wife's insistence. Finding that he preferred cooking to house cleaning, Winnie apparently bartered house work knowledge for cooking tips. After a while, he began inventing his own "con-cock-shuns". Many of these are in this book along with recipes developed by his mother and "Grandmother Goodwin", who was head cook at Maine Medical Center in Portland, Me., when it was called Portland City Hospital, back in the late 1800s and early 1900s.
Book is a spiral. Signature on the inside page reads: To Roger and Mary Hope you enjoy Winnie. Spiral and soft boards are in good plus condition. Pages are clean, free of tears, and markings. Overall condition is good plus.
