This is an exquisite Karl Tutter Sunchild. It is the scarce 13.5 inch painted one with beautiful undamaged hands, toes, fingers, etc. Definitely doesn't disappoint.
Tutter created some of the most tasteful, appealing nude figures that we have ever carried in our shop. Always sought after by collectors, Tutter's works were produced in the highly regarded German factory Hutschenreuther (today a a part of Rosenthal), out of Selb, Bavaria, Germany. This piece is a very graceful nude girl standing on a golden ball. It was originally formed in 1938 (Art Deco time) from the famous sculptor Karl Tutter (K.TUTTER is impressed under the pedestal).
There are no chips, cracks, or restorations to this piece. I have never had this scarce larger version. Truly a gem.
