Dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1900.
Crafted in 10K yellow gold. Not hallmarked but carefully acid tested on both top and bottom.
Fabulous and unusual sunburst motif, set in the center with a gorgeous genuine opal. The cabochon stone measures 4.8 mm and has wonderful flash and fire. It is claw-set, with a wonderful wavy sun-ray mount.
The stick pin measures 2.63" from top to bottom, with a top portion that measures 0.37" by 0.36". This piece weighs 1.16 grams.
Condition is good to very good, with no repairs. The opal does have an obvious craze running through the lower half, but it does not extend all the way through the stone and the stone is secure in it's mount.
