This ring originated as a late Victorian stick pin (circa 1900) but has been recently converted by me into a ring.
Crafted in 10K yellow gold (and carefully acid tested, as it was not hallmarked).
The ring consists of a lovely bow motif, set with 15 genuine split seed pearl and one claw-set whole seed pearl.
The front of the ring measures 0.52" from top to bottom, with a rounded band (crafted using the original stick pin portion that measures 0.05". This piece weighs 1.5 grams and is a size 7.5.
*** Having dealt in antique & vintage jewelry for over a decade now, I find myself with growing pile of pieces for repair. Unfortunately doing repairs, though a necessary part of my business, can become a dull task, so to allow a little fun & creativity in my days, I am upcycling and converting some of the old into new. This is one of those pieces.
I take pride in my work, so I have done my best to ensure clean & well detailed finishes to my pieces - both front and back. I provide multiple photographs so that the buyer can see the quality of workmanship that goes into each piece I construct. These aren't 'cut and paste pieces' - I intend for them to endure a lifetime of wear, with the hopes that they will eventually be passed down to the next generation - just as the treasured heirlooms they consist of were intended to be. ***
