Wonderful essex crystal of an open mouthed red fox. Essex crystals are glass or natural quartz, carved from the backside and then detailed by hand with paint. This particular pin is beautifully made, and the crystal itself is quartz, which speaks to it’s high quality.
The stickpin measures 2.57” from end to end, with a top portion that measures 0.74” by 0.53”. This piece weighs 3.6 grams.
Condition is excellent, with no damages or repairs. Very, very slight scratch runs from side to side - noted with a 10X loupe.
