Dates to the late Victorian era, circa 1880.
Crafted with a 800 (coin) or better silver top portion, which has a vermeil or gold-plated finish, and a rolled gold pin stem. Not hallmarked, but carefully acid tested on the top portion. (Bottom portion not tested as we didn’t want to damage it.)
Floral motif, with a lovely six petalled flower, each petal set with an almond-shaped deep red natural garnet. The center is finished with a round-cut garnet, bringing the total number of stones to 7 for this piece.
The stickpin measures 2.67” from end to end, with a top portion that measures 0.58” by 0.56”. This piece weighs 1.3 grams.
Condition is excellent with no damage or repairs. Wear to the gold vermeil finish on the top portion noted.
