Dates to the Art Deco era, circa 1930.
Crafted in solid 14K yellow gold, and hallmarked 14K on the back. Likely an American made piece using Chinese imported hand-carved Carnelian.
Gorgeous design, featuring a scalloped edged red enamel frame, and decoratively claw-set with an oval of fire orange Carnelian. The stone features a bird above a flower - likely among a flowering bush or tree. Very unusual!
The pendant measures 1.71" from the top of the decoratively etched bail to the base, with a maximum width of 1.03" from side to side. This piece weighs 6.9 grams.
Condition is very good, with no damages or repairs.
