Dates to the 1960's or 70's.
Crafted in solid 10K yellow gold. Not hallmarked but carefully acid tested.
This large eye-catching ring features a beautifully hand carved shell cameo of a young woman wearing a traditional Spanish mantilla. She is lovely and perfect, and a great beauty indeed. The cameo has been set into a hand-worked split shank mount.
The front of the ring measures 1.05" by 0.81", while the band measures 0.11". The ring weighs 6.1 grams. As this piece does not fit onto a mandrel, I have to estimated the size, which I believe to be around an 8.
Condition is very good, with no damages or repairs.
