Dates to the early Art Deco era, circa 1920.
Crafted with a sterling silver frame, and marked 'STERLING'. This may have had a vermeil (gold wash) finish at one point in time - it's tough to tell under the patina.
Extremely feminine frame, with filigree detailing and forget-me-not flowers and foliage at each corner.
Bezel-set with one of the best hand carved cameos from this era that I have seen. She's a real beauty, with fine details - such as the headband in her hair, and the delicate drop earring hanging from her lobe.
The brooch measures 1.58" from top to bottom, and 1.26" from side to side.
The back of the brooch has the original locking clasp and pin, which work perfectly.
Condition is very good, with no damages or repairs. Cleaned, but not polished, and ready to wear.
