Offered for sale is a vintage Sebastian miniature figurine of Mrs. Cratchit, circa 1946-1953. Hand cast in *ceramastone and hand painted, it measures approximately 2 7/8" high x 1 1/4” x 1 1/4” octagonal base. Inscribed on the top of the base is “Mrs. Cratchit and the Pudding” and on back is impressed “Patent Pending; Copr. 1946, P.W. Baston”. The blue shield label on the bottom indicates this piece was made in Marblehead, MA. This figurine is in very good condition. A nice little collectible!

Ref: Kovels Sebastian Miniatures were first made by Prescott W. Baston in 1938 in Marblehead, Massachusetts. More than 400 different designs have been made and collectors search for the out-of-production models. The mark may say Copr. P.W. Baston U.S.A., or P. W. Baston, U.S.A., or Prescott W. Baston. Sometimes a paper label was used.
