This is another gorgeous little miniature painting by contemporary UK artist, Debby Faulkner-Stevens. "Five For Silver" is a gouache on vellum triptych painting. The art measures as follows: side paintings are 3 1/4" x 1" ; middle painting is 3 1/4" x 2" and the frame measures 11 1/4" x 13 1/4". The artist signed her initials in the right side painting in the lower left side. Both art and frame are in excellent condition. The verse is from "One for Sorrow", a traditional children's nursery rhyme about magpies. According to an old superstition, the number of magpies one sees determines if one will have bad luck.
