For sale is another pretty Heubach Brothers porcelain art nouveau vase, made in Germany. The scene depicts a young nude maiden with flowers and leaves surrounding her on a mauve colored background. The rest of the prussian blue two-handled vase is trimmed with gold. This beautiful vase has been professionally restored, it measures 9 1/2" high, porcelain marks on bottom.
FYI: "Pâte-sur-pâte is a French term meaning "paste on paste". It is a method of porcelain decoration in which a relief design is created on an unfired-unglazed body by applying successive layers of white slip (liquid clay) with a brush.
