This gorgeous piece is for all the wildlife lovers! We are offering an original watercolor painting on clay board by contemporary artist, Karen Latham. Karen is an especially gifted wildlife artist and we are truly appreciative of the opportunity to handle her work on a regular basis. She has captured the early morning stirrings in the lives of beautiful twin fawns. The art measures 20″ x 16″ and the dark solid wood frame is 29 1/2″ x 25 1/2″. Karen and her two daughters, Bonnie and Rebecca, are a dynamic trio in the wildlife artists field. All three of the Latham ladies are extremely talented and we will be listing an original by each one.

Beginning at the age of 10, Karen realized that she had a very special artistic gift. Since that time, she has taught herself to utilize the talent given to her and, in addition to a biology degree, she has studied with a number of prominent contemporary artists. Developing her own style through many hours of study of techniques and creating those of her own, Karen has continually worked to improve her art. “The best artist never stops learning.”, Karen says. “There is always some way to better your art. You must keep an open mind and be willing to change your work as needed. Many pieces keep evolving as they progress and end up quite the learning experience.”
Karen has won numerous awards and exhibits extensively in the United States and England. She has raised thousands of dollars for wildlife and environmental conservation through her paintings and artwork. In sharing the special magic of wildlife and nature in her paintings, Karen hopes to help the viewer to better appreciate the natural world around them.

Karen is a member of (MIWAS) Marwell International Wildlife Art Society (England/UK/Europe), (TWASI) The Wildlife Art Society International (England/UK/Australia/Italy/Europe), and is a signature member of the (SAA) Society of Animal Artists (USA/New York) as well as several international miniature art societies.
