Made in 1984 by Royal Worcester of England and finely crafted of bone china and bronze, this figurine of an American Robin has the sumptuous lines and delicate detail as befitting of this famous company. It depicts the Bird perched among narcissus and was part of the company's "Birds and Flowers of America" series with a limited edition of 9,800 pieces worldwide. It is rather diminutive for such exquisiteness, measuring 6 3/8 inches tall and 3 1/8 inches wide from beak to tail. It is in excellent condition as well, with no chips, cracks or repairs, not even to those oh-so-delicate flower petals, although one petal is not quite pointed (it is smooth to the touch, however, and not damaged). The figurine is marked on the bottom with a bronze plaque identifying the bird, manufacturer, and country of origin and will come to you in its original box. Truly outstanding and a must for the lover of songbirds and great art.
