A rather large figurine of the Parrot persuasion, made in 1967 by Goebel of Germany and recently flown in from Europe. Lest there is any doubt it is superbly done in African Grey colors, with feathers of gray and tail of red. Birdie's feather detail is wonderful, too, and the look on his face speaks a thousand words (just like your baby, I'm sure!) He is quite large for a Goebel piece, standing just over 8.25 inches tall and measuring 5 inches by 4 inches at his base. The best news of all is that he's in wonderful shape, with no chips, cracks or repairs, just a little paint wear. He is marked "CV79" on the bottom along with the Goebel Bee in "V" mark and dated. He also comes with his original foil plastic that names him "Parrot" in three different languages (yep, this guy has been AROUND!) He has a nice weight, too, and is finished in a matte glaze. He's a real prize for any collector (he told me to say that) and can't wait to get settled into his new home. Yours, perhaps?
