Talk about flights of fancy! Made of wood and metal and depicting a hooded Falcon on a Falconer's glove, this mid century masterpiece is not only eye-catching but elegant and rather large as well. Crafted in 1962 by Masketeers the wall decoration features hand painted areas as well as gold braid to give it that genuine feel (well, as genuine as wood and metal can get) and has an attached metal fob on the back for hanging. As mentioned it is substantial, measuring a surprising 30.5 inches in length from hood feathers to glove and 15.75 inches in width at the glove (even with these measurements you're STILL going to be surprised at its size). It is lightweight for its size so no wall worries and is marked and dated on the back. It shows its age via a small scuff on one wing, some scuffing and paint wear on the glove, and the bottom right glove corner (near the gold braid) has been repaired. (Although it's easy to see in the pics in person you won't even notice it.) There are also some expected discolorations in the form of spots on the metal (see pics) but considering its age and size you'll still find its condition to be very good. Perfect for your man cave or den and a must for aficionados of Falconry, Hawks and Birds of Prey.
