An endearing print from the mid 1920s to 30s of a little girl sitting upon a bench and listening to the song of Spring, as sung by a Bluebird in a birch tree. The original painting was done by the German artist Simon Glucklich and the young girl in the print was his daughter who was blind, thus her closed eyes. The print is surrounded by a period wood frame with designs stamped into it, covered with glass, and is finished with cardboard on the back that is held on by nails with a wire attached for hanging. The print is in good condition, with no rips or tears, has good color, and is marked Columbian Colortype Co., Chicago on the bottom right corner. The frame is sturdy and in good condition with some age related scuffs that lend rather than detract and measures 13.25 inches x 10.25 inches. A sweet vision of days gone by and sure to bring back memories (or create some). Very charming, we're sure you'll be pleased.
