A rare pair of vintage bird toys from Europe for Budgies, Parakeets or Finches likely created between 1920 and 1940. The first is a pair of perched hanging birds that are made from wood, hand painted, and have metal bells dangling from the ends. Although unmarked they probably came from Germany. The second is a small mirror that's made of plastic and metal with an art deco design on the top and bottom and a metal bell hanging from the base. The mirror measures 6.25 inches in length and 1.25 inches in width and shows its age via wear to the plastic (mostly on the bottom) and has rust on the metal . It is marked Idella, Reg Des, Made in England. The wood toy measures 6.5 inches in length from hook to bells and is 1 5/8 inches in width at the perch area. It is in good condition although there is some paint loss at the bird's beaks and on one ball, and the bells have small spots of rust (they still sound great, though, reminds me of Christmas). There is also some age discoloration on the blue bird. While not recommended for YOUR birds they are perfect for display in vintage cages or whimsical when hung from a fan chain, shade, in a window or car rear view mirror.
