A Mid Century Modern serving or candy tray in a stand by Georges Briard depicting Paradise Birds in turquoise, gold and white within. The dish is made even more decorative by its wave and leaf design along the edge as well as by its original metal and wood stand with rocket or missile shaped feet. Made in the 1950s the glass tray has survived the years without chips or cracks, just a touch of wear to the design. The stand does have tarnishing to the metal but still remains attractive and interesting. The ensemble measures 5 inches to the top of the stand, 6 7/8 inches in tray width and 7 1/8 inches in tray length. It is signed Georges Briard on the bottom of the tray (or at the top depending on your perspective). A total blast from the past that's great for serving candy, or petit fours, or for holding guest soap in the bath or trinkets in the bedroom.
