A vintage decorative dessert plate from the Atlas China Company of New York showcasing a pair of Parakeets or Budgies that only have eyes for each other. The small plate has somewhat scalloped edges and is additionally decorated with 22 karat gold along its border. Likely produced in the 1940s you'll find it to be in excellent condition save for a small loss to the transfer on one bird's wing. Measures a little over 7 1/8 inches in diameter and is 5/8 inches in height at its upturned edge. It is marked Atlas Fine Chinaware, Warranted 22 karat Gold on the back. A princely piece with which to serve your just desserts or hung on the wall to be both seen and admired.
