An outstanding porcelain Parrot from Bavaria, Germany made by Zeh, Scherzer & Co. between 1919 and 1991. Done in an Art Deco style and hand painted with exacting details, the Parrot is shown perched upon a plinth and is finished in a shiny glaze. What we're not sure of is what type of Parrot it's supposed to be - Amazon, African Grey or Conure - or perhaps a mixture of all the above's best qualities (one person we know refers to it as an African Green). As stated the figurine is just about life-sized measuring 10.25 inches tall, 10.75 inches in length from head to tail and is 4 3/8 inches in diameter at the base. It's also in excellent condition with no chips or cracks, just some tiny scratches on the back in the black paint near the base. It is marked "Behscherzer, Bavaria" on the bottom along with the company's logo. Certain to be the pride and joy of your collection with an aspect that is suited to shelves both high and low.
