Spring Song Print in Octogonal Period frame
An endearing print from the mid-1920's to 30's of a little girl sitting upon a bench and listening to the song of Spring, as sung by a Robin or perhaps a Bluebird in a birch tree. The original painting was done by the German artist Simon Glucklich and the young girl in the print is his daughter who was blind, thus her closed eyes. This rendition of the print is surrounded by an octogonal wood frame that's painted dark green and black with bronzed highlights. It is covered with glass and its framed measurements are 11 inches x 9. inches. It is finished with cardboard on that back that's held on by nails and has wire attached for hanging. The print is in good condition, with no rips or tears and has good color, but does have an area towards the bottom that's a little lighter. It is quite subtle and blends into the coloration. The frame is sturdy and in good condition. A sweet vision of days gone by and sure to bring back memories (or create some). Very charming, we're sure you'll be pleased.
