While most beer mugs are mundane this Turn of the Century treasure has a tale to tell: that of two Cocks, both contenders for a fight but only one a victor. Hand painted in 1907 the vessel's visual is along the top edge while the rest is done in pale yellow, tan and brown. The handled tankard is 6 1/8 inches tall with a base if 3 7/8 inches and a top diameter of 2 7/8 inches. It is in good condition with no chips or cracks but does have paint mistakes made by the artist which actually lends to its authenticity. It is marked "Elsie Lindau, 1907" on the bottom, which is painted on. Would also make an interesting vase or centerpiece and is certainly one of a kind.
