A darling desk caddy from Turn of the Century France crafted of marble, copper and brass featuring two wells for your pens or pencils, an inkwell, a rack to hold correspondence and a Cockatoo bronze on a T-stand supervising the space. You'll find the Parrot to be well detailed and seemingly surly (his face and feathers gave it away) and the copper areas, although aged, still give off a shine. The caddy is 6.75 inches long and wide and is just under 5 inches tall to the tip of the Cockatoo's wing. The Victorian piece shows its 100+ year age via small chips in the marble (nothing major), staining to said marble and wear/patina in the copper areas. The inkwell is also missing its insert and the Parrot has a small piece of its tail missing (see pic) that isn't obvious. Unmarked but well made with screws holding everything down. Antique? Yes, but still handsome, useful, and certain to elevate and organize your desk or counter.
