Unusually colored and definitely delicate this glass bird figural perfume stopper or flower frog final from the depression years is a treasure indeed. Although amber when juxtaposed against a white background, the bird takes on an amber-pinkish color when on its own, a color I am at a loss to describe. It has rather nice detail, even in the wings, and its pose is rather dramatic. Despite all the protruding points the stopper is without chips or damage save for the bottom of the stopper (see pic). Unmarked, the piece measures 3 5/8" in length from beak to tail, has a wingspan of 1 1/8" and is 2.5" tall. Would also be a beauty perched atop a taper candle holder for an instant centerpiece and can also stand on its own as long as the surface is flat.
