Definitely Deco and decidedly different this vintage brass candleholder from the early 1900's sports a Cockatoo on a T-stand in the back. It also sports a removable crystal inkwell in the front with a petal design along the sides and a silver medallion on the top that features a Dove with a halo, open hands, and a cross. The inkwell / candelabra measures 7 5/8" in height to the top of the 'Too's head and is 6.25" in diameter. Unmarked. It shows its age via dark areas and tarnishing in the metal (some might call it patina) and one holder's rim is slightly different than the other (see pic) with a tiny crack on the underside (see that pic, too). The inkwell has small chips and roughness along the "petal" edges and a shallow chip on the bottom. All in all the candleholder is rather unusual and undeniably useful - stick some flowers in the inkwell and....viola.... an instant centerpiece!
