From 1970's Mexico we bring you this rare leather patch of a Cockatiel in flight who seems to think he's a Hummingbird (either that or the artist was a tad confused...) The patch is quite large, measuring 9.25" x 8.25" and is quilted or puffed in the middle, while the edge is flat, and the flora and fauna are stamped into the medium. Patches like these were originally created to be sewn into leather coats (akin to biker jackets) thus the large size and light stuffing. The edges are sewn all the way around and the back is covered with some type of material. The patch is in good vintage condition with age darkening on the front and soiling on the back along with two pieces of tape. Great for jackets, yes, but would be so cool framed, used in crafts, sewn into a blanket or pillow, or otherwise displayed.
