With form, function and beauty besides this hand painted card receiver from the Victorian Era is certain to elevate any area in which it is placed, for if the ruffled edge doesn’t impress then the Blue Tit among trees and flowers will. While the tray is of milk glass the base is of lightweight metal and despite the years you’ll find the glass to be without chips or cracks, just wear to the gold along the edge. The painting is also in grand condition with a few small scratches near the bird’s flight feather. The base does show its age via tarnishing and slight wear to the silver that hints of gold underneath. Unmarked. The tray measures approx. 8.25” in diameter and is 4.5” at its tallest area. If no one comes to call it would also make a wonderful candy dish with a beautiful surprise on the bottom once the treats are gone.
