An excellent vintage sculpture of an African Grey from Germany that is certain to excite and captivate any lover of the species. The clearly concerned Parrot balances upon a decidedly Deco ball base on a platform that's flanked by smaller spheres. It is exactingly hand painted in shades of gray, black and white, while red appears on its tail, and is finished in a shiny glaze. Crafted by Hutschenreuther in between 1938 and 1955 it's not a small piece, standing at 8 3/8" tall and measuring 7" long and 4.25" wide at its triangular base. The sculpture is "first choice" and is in excellent condition despite its advanced years. It's also solid, heavy, and excellently made. Appropriately marked on the bottom and ready to become the newest member of your flock. Truly exceptional, you can't go wrong with this one!
