Beautifully hand painted in shades of purple, yellow, green and of course blue, this vintage German plate from the F. Thomas porcelain factory (later bought out by Rosenthal) features a lone Bluebird flitting among mums. It measures 7 5/8" in diameter and is 7/8" tall at its upturned edges. The outer edge is rimmed in gold while the back sports the "Thomas, Bavaria" mark along with the artist's "V. Horstman" signature. It is in good condition aside from wear to the gold along the edge, a tiny scratch or two in the middle that can only be seen when tilted a certain way, and a small area of missing paint in the background that can hardly be discerned. Quite simple yet dramatic and certain to transform your wall or cabinet into an artistic arrayal.
